LeafTurtle has turned one

September marks a special milestone for us: LeafTurtle has turned one year old. A year may seem short, yet it can hold an entire journey. As LeafTurtle turns one, we take a moment to reflect on what this first cycle has taught us — about time, patience, and the quiet strength of water.

In a single year, a drop of water in a river can travel more than 31,500 kilometers, nearly three quarters of the way around the Earth. For a human, that would mean two years of non-stop walking; for a leaf turtle, several decades of steady swimming. Everything is relative. One year can feel short, yet it can also carry a world of meaning.

At LeafTurtle, this first year has been about finding our rhythm: moving forward with intention and staying true to our mission of giving water a voice. Like water itself, we’ve learned to flow, adapt, and persist.

Over the past twelve months, we’ve launched projects that are already beginning to make a difference, and we’ve built partnerships grounded in trust and shared purpose. We’ve also learned that real, lasting change takes time. It cannot be rushed. It requires patience, humility, and the quiet persistence of a turtle crossing a forest path.

Our values have guided us every step of the way. We’ve remained convinced that how we act is just as important as what we achieve. Treating others with respect, building genuine connections, and staying curious have been the cornerstones of our growth.

This first year has shown us that entrepreneurship, much like nature, thrives on balance: between motion and stillness, ambition and patience, purpose and care.
